The flight from Dubai to Portland, Maine is so long that in the time Josh and Kitty have been flying I have: gotten a full night's sleep, gone out to breakfast at the Lime Tree Cafe (delicious), done some shopping, cleaned up around the house (it was a mess), done laundry, watched Knight Rider (I can't believe I just admitted that) and CSI Miami, read a chunk of "The Girls of Riyadh" (check it out if you have a chance--the girls remind me of some of my students here), looked on line for jobs back in Maine, read the Gulf News, made dinner and written this little blog...and the poor duo doesn't land at PWM for another hour!

Don't ever let anyone tell you that trip isn't rough. Glad I've only got one more in the foreseeable future. And happy for Josh that his last one is almost done.

I've never before seen or heard of animals being transported in the passenger cabin on international flights. Is this a normal occurrence?
