Here's one of the downright weirdest things I found in Dubai. Hopefully you'll think it's at least a little bit odd, too.

So as you all know, in the United States we don't do the Metric System much at all. The most ubiquitous use of a metric measurement has to be the two liter bottle of soda.

As you can imagine I was stunned to move to metric-loving Dubai ... and find that soda comes in everything but two liter bottles.

The two mass-quantity sizes we have are the 1.5 liter and 2.25 liter bottles.

I wonder why that is, maybe the even number 2 is taboo in some way? Maybe they downsized due to pricing and the 3L became 2.25 and the 2L became 1.5.... but the prices stayed the same. Wait till you get home and can't find a gallon of icecream.... only the .75 gallon.

I read an article about that!

It said cereal has been downsized, too.

That's tricky stuff!
