Widespread DustMy favorite weather forecast in Dubai is Widespread Dust. It's going on right now. Here's the Weather Channel logo for it. --->

Personally I think it feels a bit like the bastard-child of a sandstorm and Southern California's June Gloom.

However there's no wind or sand blowing about, so it's not a sandstorm, and although it feels foggy it's redonkulously hot, so it's not June Gloom.

It's also a bit like smog, seeing how everything is covered by a beige cloud bank, but it's naturally occuring and not man-made.

But I guess "natural smog" doesn't have the same ring as "widespread dust" ...

Geez. A dust storm all night. Schools closed the next day?

Oh no, it's been this way for like a week.

But it's not a sandstorm, which is more dangerous. This is just like smog. But it's just dust.

Spread widely.

"Widespread Dust" Now that is a movie waiting to happen. Maybe the people that ripped off all the other natural disaster movies and made them TV miniseries can take hold of that idea and make something original. TNT Original that is.

When the Whatever Breaks in Widespread Dust Broke.
I don't think Spike Lee would sign up so early for that one.

Now you weather says unknown.
Did Dubai get sucked into a black hole or something?
