NBA TV LogoI just turned on our NBA TV Channel and there's no live coverage of the first game of the NBA Finals.

Why am I not surprised?

I mean, it's only an entire network devoted to one league. And for 20-something hours a day they run a show called "NBA Live" ... so why would they actually show the NBA, you know, live?

Instead? We get a corker from the 1980 NBA Finals between the Lakers and the Sixers.

Go Magic. Go Kareem. Yawn.

Go back to bed ...

It's the lamest thing going.
I live in Saudi Arabia and have the same problem. They show the games on ART Prime Sports but my compound doesn't get that channel. I drove half an hour into the city to a student's house to watch the game at one in the morning. Then it turned out I got the time mixed up. So I went home to bed.
I've lived overseas for most of my life and this is the hardest part, not being able to watch live sports at a decent hour.
Now I'm depressed the lakers lost.

Oooooh, ya had me until the last line!

No, it should be a good series, and, like I said, I spent some time as a Laker fan earlier in this decade.

Hopefully NBA TV will have some highlights later today on NBA Live ...

you can actually catch the games live on Eurosport or ART prime, depending on which package u subscribe to. I am wondering if anyone knows if there's any place that would actually show the game live, maybe some hotel or something? obviously its too early to be at a bar to watch it out here. Game 4 would def be a good game to watch, especially cuz the Lakers will win it :)
