This afternoon after work I was in the Mall of the Emirates grabbing a few groceries, and I passed by the Orbit satellite television kiosk.

I had to ask the sales representative why Orbit ESPN has gone missing from my dial.

He said he didn't know - he thought it was still available.

That'd be rad if Orbit and ESPN have parted ways, yet the sales reps are still selling the service like it was still included ...

Now I'm really intrigued. I'm going to get to the bottom of this ...

... and what did she say?

You mean, you didn't call her?

Jeesh, do I have to do everything myself?!

I wouldn't be surprised if ESPN was going to be replaced with something silly like EuroSport!

Orbit has always been cheap on sports...

Oh I've got some news for you Josh!

The rights for ESPN has gone to ART and the channel is now on Nilesat frequency: 10930 H. Its there now as I speak and although I'm a full ART package world subscriber the channel has not yet started to show some life on my screen...

Rumour has it from some of my friends as it was working earlier that its the real deal, its the American ESPN we all have been waiting for! I really hope that's true and that ART won't opt to showing ESPN Asia thus providing us with yet more "fun" hours of cricket! Let's all wait and see! We want more NFL, MLB, PTI and Sportscenter please!
