I hadn't read the book, but Liz had. We both liked the picture. Granted, there were at least two parts where it looked like the UAE censors had excised content. Two abrupt edits. Hmm.
I hope to have more time to get into the specifics of a full-on movie review later, but for now I wanted to mention the opening credits. Amazing motion graphics. It really took Arabic calligraphy to new levels.
You know, right now I think we're starting a new renaissance in title sequences. Take both The Kingdom and Enchanted from last year. I mean, we're not to Saul Bass levels yet, but I think we've surpassed most James Bond flicks.
