Super Bowl XLII logoHuh.

Well.

What do you know.

Didn't see that coming.

Anyway, yeah, this morning -- er, yesterday I guess for most of you -- the New England Patriots lost the Super Bowl to the New York Giants.

Needless to say the Patriots didn't get that 19-0 season they were hoping for.

Luckily I didn't get up at 3 am (6 pm EST) to see the rather exciting beginning, I was up at 4 am to watch, well, the really boring 2nd and 3rd quarters.

Then I ended up being late to work because the game didn't end until a little after 7 am, and I usually leave at 7:15.

Oops.

But I guess I was glad I stayed for the entire game. Kind of. I seriously almost left after Moss' touchdown in the 4th. That would have been pretty bad. (The Giants scored with 35 seconds remaining in the game).

Well, at least the Celtics are still 36-8, and pitchers and catchers report in 9 1/2 days ...

Just heard this on Sporting News Radio the other day:
Rehab for choking (No, it's not on WebMD):
1. Avoid ESPN for two weeks.
2. Watch cartoons instead.
3. Check the NBA standings every morning
4. Count the seconds until pitchers and catchers, or have the Sox do it for you at redsox.com.
5. Truck Day (An international holiday of the New England area)is Saturday!

Shep

Hmmm, all good ideas. Although many times my Orbit ESPN shows random rugby and cricket and tennis - sports I couldn't care less about.

As for the Sox - we're under a week now until pitchers and catchers report. And as much as I enjoy football, baseball is the sport I love.

Although I'll have to google truck day, that sounds ... New Englandy ...
