Wow, so, um, I made a goof. I've been saying all along that I've never been to the Emirate of Ajman, and then today I looked at a map and was a little amazed.
I've been to Ajman. When we drove up to Khasab, Oman (see Khasab Weekend Photos) we went through Sharjah, Umm al-Quwain and Ras al-Khaimah, so we had to go through Ajman.
I guess I was confusing it with Al Ayn.
Huh.
So after the weekend in Mirfa, Abu Dhabi (see Mirfa Photo Album) that means I've been to six of the seven emirates: Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai (obviously), Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah, and Umm al-Quwain.
All I need now is to go to Fujairah.
And guess where we're going this weekend?
Yup, for Liz's birthday on Sunday we're going to Fujairah, which is on the Gulf of Oman, on the east coast of the U.A.E. We leave tonight, so look for some photos and stories next week! |
